Tips and Techniques
Movement off the ball creates the space to score goals, a move that is perfectly demonstrated in Nasri’s goal, Arsenal v Manchester Utd, 2008/9 season.
This is a goal that will be among many fans' favourites because of the build up and movement all over the pitch and the run off the ball by Theo Walcott (14) to create the space for the goal.
Follow Walcott’s movement at the end of the move which draws Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic, two of the world’s most experienced defenders, to create the space that allows Samir Nasri to score this goal.
This is a perfect example of playing movement off the ball to create an easier goal scoring opportunity.
Walcott does not touch the ball yet has a big hand in creating the goal, with a great hook turn from Cesc Fabregas (4) passing to Nasri (8) who explodes into the space to score.
